The iconic G-Unit and Reebok sneaker collaboration is officially making a comeback — but according to 50 Cent, Tony Yayo may have revealed the news a little too soon.
During a recent appearance on The Real Report podcast, Tony Yayo casually confirmed that the legendary G-Unit sneakers are returning, nearly two decades after dominating hip-hop fashion in the early 2000s. The announcement immediately sparked excitement among longtime fans who remember the massive success of the original collaboration.

According to reports, the revived sneaker line has already been presented to retailers and could arrive as early as July. While official release details remain limited, fans are already speculating about which classic silhouettes could return, including the G6, G XT, and other fan-favorite models that helped define the era.
But while the internet celebrated the nostalgic reveal, 50 Cent appeared less than thrilled about the timing of the announcement.
In a viral clip shared online, 50 Cent reacted to Yayo’s comments while riding in a car. Looking visibly annoyed, the rapper joked:
“I can’t tell Yayo nothing.”
Moments later, footage of Tony Yayo announcing the sneaker comeback played, prompting 50 to stare directly into the camera with an exhausted expression that quickly became meme material online.

Despite the awkward moment, the situation doesn’t appear serious. Tony Yayo later responded in the comments section with laughing emojis, suggesting the exchange was all jokes between longtime friends and G-Unit partners.
The original G-Unit x Reebok partnership first launched in 2003, right as 50 Cent exploded into superstardom following the release of Get Rich or Die Tryin’. The sneakers became a major cultural moment, blending hip-hop influence with streetwear fashion during one of rap’s most commercially dominant eras.

Over the years, G-Unit expanded far beyond music, building an empire through mixtapes, clothing, business ventures, and entertainment projects. Now, the return of the Reebok collaboration is bringing another piece of that early-2000s nostalgia back into the spotlight.
Fans are now waiting to see when the official announcement — the one 50 Cent probably wanted to make himself — finally arrives.
