Jon Jones is stirring the pot in the MMA world, suggesting that breaking free from his UFC contract may be more feasible than many think. After witnessing Francis Ngannou’s stunning first-round knockout victory over Philipe Lins at the recent Rousey vs. Carano event, Jones expressed a strong desire to face Ngannou in the octagon, a matchup he believes the UFC would never endorse due to their contentious relationship with the heavyweight star.

Despite skepticism from the MMA community about the likelihood of such a fight happening, Jones remains optimistic about his chances of exiting his contract. โ€œI donโ€™t know, I think getting out of my UFC contract is very, very possible,โ€ he told Denise White. โ€œI need to find the right people, go through my channels, or just put more effort into it.โ€

Itโ€™s been nearly a year since Jones announced his retirement and vacated the heavyweight title. He had hoped to make a comeback for the UFC White House card, but UFC CEO Dana White has made it clear that he is not interested in having Jones participate, leaving the former champion questioning his future in mixed martial arts.

Jones is not just focused on the octagon, however. He revealed his aspirations to step into the boxing ring, emphasizing his belief that with dedicated training, he could surprise many with his skills. โ€œI really wanted to box,โ€ he stated. โ€œIf I were to put all of my energy in my hands, combinations, and punching power, I think I really could surprise a lot of people. I would love to box. That would be a lot of fun.โ€

As Jones contemplates his next move, fans are left wondering: will he find a way to break free and pursue his boxing dreams, or is he destined to remain on the sidelines?
