The younger brother of rapper NBA YoungBoy is now facing serious legal trouble after authorities accused him of pistol-whipping a woman and attempting to shoot another rapper during a violent confrontation in Houston.

According to court records, 22-year-old Kendell Gaulden was arrested following an April 17 altercation involving Baton Rouge rapper Lil Dump, whose real name is Dedrick Wright. Prosecutors allege the dispute escalated when Gaulden allegedly struck Wright’s girlfriend with a semi-automatic handgun before turning the weapon toward Wright himself.
Investigators say Gaulden allegedly pulled the trigger during the confrontation, but the gun failed to fire after the magazine reportedly fell to the ground moments earlier. Authorities later booked him on aggravated assault charges, and a judge set his bond at $500,000.

The incident has shocked many online due to the alleged close ties between the men involved. Social media footage and photos previously showed Lil Dump and Gaulden together, and NBA YoungBoy had even collaborated musically with Wright in the past.
This latest arrest adds to Gaulden’s growing legal troubles in Texas. Since 2021, he has reportedly faced multiple charges ranging from unlawful carrying of weapons to evading arrest. Prosecutors also say he was already awaiting trial in another case involving allegations that he threatened a woman, broke into her home, and fatally shot her dog.
The arrest comes during an already tense moment for Baton Rouge’s rap scene. Just days before news of Gaulden’s arrest surfaced, TBG Records executive West Clark — also known as Cleezy5 — was fatally shot outside a gym in what police described as a targeted attack. Authorities have acknowledged ongoing tensions involving rival rap-affiliated groups in the area, though investigators say the case remains active.
As both cases move forward, police are reportedly monitoring social media closely amid concerns about possible retaliation or further violence tied to the long-running feud between TBG and NBA YoungBoy’s Never Broke Again camp.
