Nore CHECKS Stephen Jackson For Calling Out Kevin Hart & Not Tony Hinchcliffe Over George Floyd Joke

The conflict traces back to Kanye West’s controversial appearance on Drink Champs, where remarks about George Floyd sparked widespread backlash. Stephen Jackson, a close friend of Floyd’s family and co-host of All The Smoke, publicly criticized N.O.R.E for allowing the comments to be aired on his platform. Although N.O.R.E later issued an apology, the damage between the two appeared to linger.

Since then, both sides have exchanged subtle shots in interviews and online commentary, keeping the tension alive. Most recently, N.O.R.E reignited the dispute during an appearance on Jason Lee’s platform, where he dismissed the idea that there was real “beef” between him and Jackson. Stephen Jackson, however, responded by questioning N.O.R.E’s consistency, accusing him of selective outrage depending on who is involved.

The situation escalated further when N.O.R.E reacted strongly to Stephen Jackson’s past comments regarding comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s jokes about George Floyd. Jackson had previously explained that he personally reached out to Kevin Hart and directly addressed the issue with Hinchcliffe through a message, clarifying that he does not support jokes about deceased individuals. He emphasized that his issue was with the comedian, not Kevin Hart, and stated that his stance comes from personal principles rather than public attention.

Despite that clarification, N.O.R.E continued to call out what he sees as inconsistency in Jackson’s approach, accusing him of not maintaining the same energy across all situations. He pointed to Jackson’s willingness to confront some figures while appearing more restrained with others.

Jackson, however, defended his position by stressing that his criticism is based on principle, not personal animosity. He reiterated that he does not condone disrespect toward the deceased regardless of context and that his actions were directed only at those responsible for the remarks, not at unrelated public figures.

The renewed back-and-forth has now fueled talk of a potential “Pod Wars 2026” clash between All The Smoke and Drink Champs. While there is no official face-off scheduled, fans are already debating which platform is handling the situation more consistently and whether the disagreement reflects deeper divides in podcast culture.

As it stands, both N.O.R.E and Stephen Jackson appear firm in their positions, and neither side seems willing to fully back down, keeping the tension very much alive in the public eye.
