Rick Ross wants to make it crystal clear that he’s not afraid that Drake is about to drop his long-awaited album, Iceman.

Speaking to Hot 97’s Nessa about his VERZUZ match with French Montana, Ross spoke about his relationship with Drake and how he feels about him releasing an album.

“We made history with a lot of records,” Ross began before switching gears to talk about the source of their beef. “It’s a lot of people that don’t know, but it was that he lost focus, that’s it,” Ross added. “I’m sure he’s back focused.”

Ross then made it clear that this isn’t a Kendrick Lamar-level beef with Drake. In fact, Ross is cool with Drake releasing an album. “People would love for me to say I hate this n***a, and naw it ain’t that,” Ross admitted. “When somebody steps out of line, and you got to chastise them or give them a spanking, that’s what you do.”
“But is it one of those things where it’s a conspiracy? Hell no,” Ross added. “Don’t nobody fear a Drake album release. Nobody.”

During his VERZUZ event, Ross played songs that featured Drake, minus his vocals. It wasn’t a surprise to anyone in the room because days before the match, Ross let the world know that it was his plan.

“If I do, I’mma minus his vocals,” Ross said. “If y’all want to sing it, you sing it. You know what I’m saying?”

Last month, Ross gave a pretty direct answer about a potential reconciliation. During an episode of Thoughts In A Culli, Ross said, “Homie got a lot of issues he got to address. I’ma leave it right there. Is it any potential of him being a real n***a? He gotta decide that.”
