Joseph Duggar is reportedly fighting to change the strict conditions of his pretrial release after new court documents revealed he has been unable to communicate with his four children for nearly two months.

According to newly filed motions submitted by Joseph’s attorney, the former reality television star is asking a Florida judge to modify portions of the no-contact order issued after his release on bond in March. The order currently prohibits him from having unsupervised contact with any minors under 18, including his own children.
Court filings reportedly state that Joseph has not been able to speak with or communicate with his biological children since his initial Florida court appearance on March 31. The documents also note that communication issues began even earlier following his March arrest in Arkansas alongside his wife, Kendra Duggar.
His legal team argues the restrictions are now creating “hardship for the family unit,” especially since Kendra has already resumed contact with the children after her release.
In addition to requesting permission for limited communication with his children, Joseph is also seeking another modification tied to several properties he owns. According to the motion, the no-contact order currently prevents him from visiting six separate land parcels because they are located too close to the residence of his accuser and her family.
However, Joseph’s attorney claims the alleged victim’s family has since moved away from the residence, arguing that the restrictions should no longer apply.
The filings state the property ban has allegedly prevented Joseph from maintaining the land, including mowing grass, handling repairs, painting, landscaping, and even removing what the motion describes as an “old dilapidated shed.”
The court is expected to hear arguments regarding both motions during a hearing scheduled for June 20.
Joseph remains free on a $600,000 bond while facing two felony charges in Florida connected to allegations involving a minor. Prosecutors accuse him of lewd and lascivious behavior involving a 9-year-old girl during a 2020 family vacation in Florida.
Meanwhile, Joseph and Kendra are also facing separate charges in Arkansas involving allegations of child endangerment and false imprisonment, though officials have stated those accusations are unrelated to the Florida case.
The legal drama surrounding the Duggar family has continued drawing major public attention online, especially given the family’s long history in reality television and previous criminal scandals involving other family members.
