Joseph Duggar has entered a not guilty plea in connection with child molestation charges filed against him in Florida.
The former reality television personality appeared remotely from the Bay County Jail during a court hearing on March 31 after being extradited from Arkansas. During the hearing, a judge set his bond at $600,000.
Court documents show Duggar, through his attorney, waived formal arraignment and requested a jury trial.
Joseph Duggar, 31, is facing two felony charges related to alleged incidents involving a minor during a 2020 family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida.
According to investigators, the allegations involve inappropriate conduct with a child under the age of 12. Authorities stated the investigation began after conversations between Duggar, the childโs father and law enforcement earlier this year.
Following the investigation, Duggar was arrested in Arkansas on March 18 before later being transferred to Florida custody.
The case has drawn significant public attention due to the Duggar familyโs past reality television fame through shows including 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On.
Duggarโs next court appearance is scheduled for April 20 as legal proceedings continue.
