STRICTLY professional dancer Johannes Radebe is poised to join Emma Willis as part of the show’s new presenting line-up.
Insiders say Johannes, nicknamed JoJo, has been earmarked for a hosting role on the next series.
The 39-year-old impressed bosses when they tested who had the best rapport with other stars at the tryouts.
A source said: “Everyone involved in the auditions — including the celebs — are saying the job is going to JoJo.
“During the chemistry tests he was paired up with every other celeb and did incredibly well.
“They all think he would be the perfect partner for Emma.
“He has been announced as one of the returning professional dancers but that doesn’t mean bosses aren’t going to promote him.”
It is understood Johannes’ role is being figured out by bosses, who were considering bringing in three people to take on hosting roles previously held by Tess Daly, 57, and Claudia Winkleman, 54.
A second insider said: “There’s been talk of having him as a roving reporter.
“He knows the dances better than anyone and is incredibly popular with Strictly fans.
“Whether he’s going to be a host like Emma or take a slightly different presenting role is being ironed out.”
South Africa-born Johannes, who joined Strictly in 2018, has been paired on the show with celebs such as Corrie actress Catherine Tyldesley and tennis star Annabel Croft.
In 2021 he and John Waite became the first same-sex partnership to reach the final.
Comedian Josh Widdicombe, 43, is also understood to still be in the mix for a presenting role.
Insiders say an announcement about the hosting line-up will be made next week.
We revealed yesterday how Angela Scanlon, 42, Rylan Clark, 37, and Alex Jones, 49, had been ruled out.
BBC star Zoe Ball, 55, said: “I didn’t get it, but if who I think has got it, our new hosts are going to be fabulous.”
It is understood Emma, 50, is set to accept the Strictly offer this week.
The BBC said: “Plans for Strictly 2026 will be confirmed in due course.”
