FANS of Strictly Come Dancing are convinced that they have worked out the third star that will host the show after Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly stepped down.

So far The Sun has revealed Emma Willis and Johannes Radebe will be their replacements.

But fans believe that comedian Mel Giedroyc will be joining the duo to complete the new-look line-up.

Taking to TikTok to discuss the theory, one user highlighted that Mel previously said in a 2021 BBC interview that Strictly is her “favourite show.”

They continued to note how Mel is already a trusted figure by the BBC, having previously hosted the 2016 Strictly live tour and having helped out on the Great British Bake Off.

Mel’s also stepped in before to host The One Show while Alex Jones was on maternity leave, and she’s had stints with Children in Need and the Eurovision.

The fact Mel hasn’t spoken out yet denying that she’s hosting the show is also being seen as an indicator that she might be joining Emma and Johannes.

Many other big name stars including Rylan Clark have clearly stated it won’t be them, but Mel has stayed silent.

The last reason given by the TikTok user is that Mel would currently have availability in her schedule.

She’s currently hosting The Way Out which airs on Dave, but it’s pre-recorded.

Fans are also coming up with theories over on Reddit, under a thread called ‘Hopes for the New Hosts’.

The thread begins: “If the reports are true, I think Emma Willis will do well in Tess’s spot.

“I was expecting Zoe Ball so I’m kind of bummed she didn’t get it, but I do think the rumours that it would be Emma & Zoe were odd in that I feel both were best suited to the Tess role, so it had to be one or the other in my opinion.

“But Emma is a safe pair of hands, and dare I say, she’d probably be better than Tess?

“I’d love if Mel Giedroyc is her co-host in the Claudia role.”
