Rick (Paul Rudd) is a wedding singer past his prime. He unexpectedly meets Danny (Nick Jonas), a fading pop/boy-band star.

After an impromptu all-night singing session, the two find common ground in music. However, conflict erupts when Danny turns a song written by Rick into a chart-topping hit to revive his career without acknowledging Rick’s contribution.

Rick decides to reclaim ownership of the song and the recognition he deserves, even if it means losing his last meaningful relationships.
