What started as a jealous girlfriend checking her boyfriend’s phone while he slept has now exploded into one of the darkest influencer scandals TikTok has seen this year.

18 year old Mason Hall, known online as “Hollow,” built his image around sharp jawlines, mirror selfies, makeup tutorials, and the obsessive “looksmaxing” culture that promises followers physical perfection at any cost. To hundreds of thousands of fans, he was just another rising internet personality chasing clout, validation, and viral fame.

But behind the filters and carefully edited videos, detectives in Sarasota County, Florida, say there was something far more disturbing hidden on his phone.

And according to investigators, it all unraveled because his own girlfriend trusted her instincts.

“I Thought He Was Cheating…”

Hall’s girlfriend, Livia Coon, reportedly became suspicious after noticing changes in his behavior during their eight month relationship. Investigators say she believed he was hiding something and decided to go through his phone while he was asleep on April 30.

What she allegedly found was not evidence of another girl.

It was something far darker.

According to court documents, Coon discovered the encrypted messaging app Telegram recently active on Hall’s phone. Inside the chats, investigators say there were conversations involving payments exchanged for child sexual abuse material.

Authorities claim she saw explicit images and videos involving minors and immediately began taking screenshots with her own phone before contacting law enforcement.

That single decision would ignite a criminal investigation that now threatens to destroy Hall’s life, career, and online image forever.

The Phone Call That Shocked TikTok

The scandal exploded even further after Coon uploaded part of a recorded confrontation call to TikTok.

In the emotional clip, she can be heard asking Hall:

“You go little girls because I’m not enough for you?”

The response stunned viewers.

According to the audio, Hall allegedly admitted guilt and confessed he had “bought so much.”

The clip spread rapidly across social media before Hall’s TikTok account was reportedly locked down and set to private.

Almost overnight, the influencer once obsessed with perfect angles and flawless appearances became the center of a criminal firestorm.

Detectives Say Hall Confessed

The case escalated dramatically when detectives reportedly confronted Hall directly at his residence.

Investigators say Hall agreed to speak after being read his Miranda rights and allegedly admitted to using Telegram to access child sexual abuse material.

According to the arrest report, Hall told investigators he wanted to try something “taboo” and admitted there were at least two occasions where he paid for links containing illegal material.

That admission may become one of the most devastating pieces of evidence prosecutors could ask for.

Legal experts say the charges alone could carry years in prison, but aggravating factors could make the penalties even harsher depending on what investigators uncover inside the phone.

And authorities may only be getting started.

Detectives Fear There Could Be More

Law enforcement sources indicate investigators are expected to conduct a deeper forensic analysis of Hall’s devices.

Experts say these investigations often begin with a handful of files before uncovering massive collections of images, videos, encrypted chats, payment records, and hidden accounts.

If prosecutors discover a larger volume of material, longer videos, or especially graphic content involving younger victims, the potential prison sentence could increase significantly.

The reported victims in the material Hall allegedly possessed were said to range between 8 and 15 years old.

TikTok Fame Turned Into Internet Infamy

Before the arrest, Hall’s content centered around “looksmaxing,” an increasingly controversial online trend where users obsess over maximizing attractiveness through dieting, facial exercises, cosmetic routines, and extreme self-image culture.

Now, critics online are pointing out the disturbing contrast between Hall’s polished public persona and the horrifying allegations behind closed doors.

One resurfaced TikTok clip from a friend has only intensified the backlash. In the video, someone can reportedly be heard joking:

“You’re not gonna do this anymore, right Mason? No more child porn.”

The clip has triggered outrage online, with many questioning how much people around him may have known.

Telegram Once Again Under Fire

The case has also reignited controversy surrounding Telegram and encrypted messaging apps.

Critics argue these platforms have increasingly become hubs for illegal underground trading networks involving child exploitation material, drugs, and other criminal activity.

While companies often report discovered abuse material to authorities, critics say that is no longer enough.

Many are now demanding stronger detection systems capable of stopping illegal files before they are ever shared.

The Hall case is rapidly becoming another example fueling calls for stricter regulation of encrypted platforms and greater accountability for tech companies.

Hall Released on Bail — But the Internet Isn’t Letting Go

Despite the explosive allegations, Hall has already posted his $112,000 bond with the assistance of a bail bond company.

As part of his release conditions, he is reportedly banned from accessing social media while awaiting further court proceedings.

But online, the scandal continues spiraling.

Some supporters insist the full story has not yet come out. Others believe the alleged confession and screenshots already paint a devastating picture.

Meanwhile, TikTok users continue dissecting every deleted post, every old video, and every resurfaced clip connected to the influencer once known for chasing perfection online.

Now, instead of viral fame, Mason Hall may be facing the collapse of everything he built — and potentially years behind bars.
